How do I recover a lost password?

In Navisphere Express, you cannot retrieve a lost password. You must clear security settings and create a new username and password by doing the following:

For an AX100-series storage system:

  1. Power down the storage system by pressing the Power button for approximately one second.

  2. Wait for one minute after the storage system powers down completely.

  3. Press and hold the Power button until the green Power LED has been ON for one second.

  1. When the SP boot LED stops flashing, the storage system is powered up in an uninitialized state (it has no management security and you are able to change the management IP addresses).

  2. Run the Navisphere Initialization Utility to create a new username and password.

Note  You may also change the management port IP addresses through the Navisphere Initialization Utility. Once you reboot the storage system, you will not be able to change them unless you repeat the procedure above to uninitialize the storage system.

For an AX150-series storage system:

  1. Power down the storage system by pressing the power button located on the back panel of the storage system. The SP boot LED flashes and the storage system shuts down after several seconds.

  2. Wait for approximately one minute after the storage system powers down completely.

  3. Press and hold the power button for 4 to 8 seconds, and then release it.  When you release the button, the SP boot LED begins to flash.
